Student assistant for cell biology, fluoerescence microscopy, immunostaining
Part-time position (max. 80 Monatsstunden), Start-date: At the earliest possible date.

At the Institute for Macromolecular Chemistry in Freiburg, our group is working on hydrogels obtained from edible seaweed that can in vivo regenerate blood vessels. In addition to this extraordinary property, we can process the hydrogels into medical devices for regenerative therapies.

To support our ongoing work, we are seeking to hire a HiWi in the field of cell biology. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the research effort within an international team. The project consists in a high-throughput screening of the cell environment. Using a state of the art liquid handling robot, we will culture different cell line in synthetic hydrogel of various mechanical properties and supplemented with diverse biological signals. During culture, the cells will be characeterised by fluorescence microscopy, PCR and immunostaining.
