Maintaining close contact with various societal groups is of great importance for the University of Freiburg. Many large-scale events, including the University Summer Ball, the Science Fair, open house for beginning students and their families, and alumni meetings, bring together current students and employees of the university as well as alumni and guests from Freiburg and further afield. The organization of these events is in our hands.

Publications
Several publications report on life at the University of Freiburg. They are prepared by a team of editors at the Office of Public Relations.

uni’leben is published three times per semester. It covers all important news at the university in features, interviews, and reports. Twice a year uni’wissen looks over the shoulder of outstanding researchers at the University of Freiburg. uni’wissen is scientific, but is also intended for a general audience. These two publications may be picked up for free in university buildings, but it is also possible to subscribe to them at the Office of Public Relations.

The student newsletter provides an overview of current events and topics of interest four to five times per semester. It can be subscribed to by email.

“amPulsMagazin” and “amPulsMitarbeiterInnenzeitung” are the print media of the Freiburg University Medical Center. “amPuls-online,” the medical center’s electronic newsletter, can be subscribed to by email.

uni’alumni has kept many former students up to date on developments at the university since 2010. Uni’alumni can be subscribed to at the Office of Public Relations.

In addition, the Office of Public Relations prepares flyers, brochures, presentations, posters, videos, and podcasts on events at the University of Freiburg. You can also download an image film on the university from the office’s homepage. This film is a great way to introduce a lecture or presentation.
