Rules on Ensuring Academic Integrity at the University of Freiburg
Representative for Responsibility in Research
The representative for responsibility in research advises persons who inform him of an alleged case of academic dishonesty as well as those who have been accused of academic dishonesty. He also investigates cases of alleged academic dishonesty on his own initiative. The representative weighs the plausibility, concreteness, and significance of alleged cases of academic dishonesty and informs the responsible governing bodies if he deems further action to be necessary. He is bound to strict confidentiality.

Investigative Commission on Academic Integrity
The Investigative Commission on Academic Integrity is responsible for advising the rector in cases concerning academic integrity and investigating allegations of academic dishonesty. The members are bound to confidentiality.
